I am an Aboriginal woman born in Arnhem Land Northern Territory in 1943 from the Rrembarranga / Ngalakan groups and a member of the Millwarrparra clan of Roper River region. I am a mother of three, grandmother of 10 and Great grandmother of three. I have lived in the Top End of the Territory all my life except to attend education institutes interstate.
I was the first qualified Aboriginal Pre-school teacher and Aboriginal Adult Educator in the Northern Territory.
I have been a member of community based organisations and groups all of my adult life.
Why I want to be a Candidate:
I have chosen to be a Candidate for the Australian First Nations Political Party for the seat of Solomon, House of Representative for the following reasons
To provide Territorians with the experience and the commitment of a long term Territorian and to represent the views of both Indigenous and Non-Indigenous
The opportunity to be the first Aboriginal female woman to be a Candidate for federal parliament
To be an Advocate and campaigner for Human Rights, Social Justice and Equity
I have chosen to be a Candidate for the Australian First Nations Political Party for the seat of Solomon, House of Representative for the following reasons

A Board Member of the NT Stolen Generation Aboriginal Corporation
Member of a range of Boards and reference groups addressing local and organisational issues
Participation and involvement in sports representing in softball, hockey and basketball as a player, coach and official at local and national levels
